Description
Dietary supplement, source 5 – HTP, vitamin B6 and niacin. Contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system, reduce fatigue and normalize energy metabolism.
B6 is the collective name for pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. Vitamin B6 performs many important tasks in our body, but the most important of them can be considered that it contributes to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
Vitamin B6 is needed:
- to ensure normal amino acid metabolism (including the breakdown and use of proteins),
- to ensure carbohydrate and lipid metabolism,
- for the synthesis in the body of many biologically active compounds (for example, serotonin),
- to create red blood cells,
- for the normal functioning of the central nervous system,
- for complete absorption of vitamin B12 and magnesium,
- for the production of hydrochloric acid.
5-Hydroxytryptophan or oxytriptan – such an amino acid, which is involved in the metabolism of tryptophan, is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of melatonin and serotonin in nervous tissues and the liver.
It is taken mainly during sleep deprivation or depression, it helps to increase the production of beta-endorphins. It normalizes sleep, due to the fact that with increased production of serotonin, it suppresses the fast phase of sleep, which makes sleep more calm and deep.
Niacin – this is the general name of nicotinic acid, nicotinamide and its derivatives, which are manifested in the biological activity of nicotinamine. Niacin is needed: for the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, as well as for the synthesis of proteins, for the functioning of the nervous and muscular systems, for the proper formation and maintenance of tissues of the skin, tongue and digestive tract.
