Over the past few years, Betaine has been tested in many studies for its use in sports.
One of the first studies was conducted at the Connecticut Institute (USA) in 2010.
It was found that athletes who took 1.25 g of Betaine 2 times a day for a month increased endurance and strength by 20 – 25%. It was also confirmed that Betaine, compared with placebo, increased the factors affecting muscle protein synthesis. Betaine clearly reduces lactate levels, reduces muscle fatigue and helps athletes train longer and harder.
