Description
When training with large weights, the athlete loads the spine too much. The athletic belt is designed to protect the spinal column and intervertebral discs in the lumbar region during squats with a barbell, lifting weights overhead, performing deadlifts and similar exercises. Even if the muscular frame is already well developed, it is recommended to wear an athletic belt as a prevention of injury during training.
A feature of this belt is a very comfortable buckle that does not cause any discomfort to the athlete. You no longer have to bend the belt and look for holes for the teeth of the buckle. Thanks to the design of the new buckle, the teeth themselves fall into the desired holes. You can unfasten the belt with one hand movement, but the belt cannot open on its own. The novelty can be appreciated at its true worth at competitions, when every second is precious.
Made of high-strength genuine leather (belt thickness 10 mm). Belt width 10 cm. Fully complies with the requirements for belts in powerlifting competitions.
It is recommended to use an athletic belt only during exercise. After each approach, the belt must either be completely removed or partially loosened.
How to choose and buy an athletic belt
To choose the right athletic belt, you need to pay attention to the following parameters:
#one. material
The belt can be made of genuine leather, various leather substitutes or synthetic materials. An important factor when choosing a material is tensile strength. The leather belt is the most durable and reliable in this regard. Synthetic velcro belts are also suitable for working with small weights.
#2. size
It is very good to try on a belt when buying, or at least remove marks with a centimeter tape. If the belt buckle falls on the middle fixation holes when buttoned, this size will be ideal. Over time, body weight and volumes may change and you may need to tighten or loosen the belt a few notches.
#3. clasp
It can be a traditional buckle, carabiner buckle or Velcro. As noted above, Velcro belts are suitable for moderate weights. In other cases, it is better to choose a regular buckle or carabiner. Some athletes consider the latter to be more convenient and reliable, while others do not trust automatic fasteners.
In addition, the athletic belt can be additionally equipped with a weight chain.
