Description
Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin that the body needs for protein synthesis. Vitamin K2 plays an important role in metabolism, bone and connective tissue strengthening, kidney function, calcium absorption and interaction between calcium and vitamin D. Jarrow Formulas® MK-7 is naturally produced by fermentation of Bacillus subtilis subsp. natto and is much more digestible than K1 from spinach. MK-7 is a longer acting form of vitamin K compared to K1 and MK-4 and is better at supporting the carboxylation of certain proteins needed to build bones and maintain cardiovascular health.
