Description
Biotin (vitamin H, vitamin B7, coenzyme R) is part of the B complex vitamins. It is found in small amounts in many foods, such as eggs, milk or bananas.
Biotin helps in energy production. It supports a number of enzymes involved in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism.
Vitamin H belongs to the "beauty vitamins" and is responsible for the delivery of sulfur atoms to the structure of hair, skin and nails, thus providing an optimal and excellent appearance. It is noted that in patients with diabetes, glucose metabolism improves significantly when taking vitamin B7. Due to its role in glucose production, biotin has an impact on blood sugar levels. Biotin levels are inversely related to sugar levels.
