OstroVit African Mango VEGE is a dietary supplement in vegan capsules containing African Mango Seed Extract (Irvingia gabonensis L.) DER 10:1. OstroVit African Mango supports the process of lipolysis i.e. fat burning in our body and promotes health such as lowering blood pressure and total cholesterol.

In 2005, a randomized, double-blind study was conducted with 40 participants for one month. After this time, there was a significant difference between the African mango group and the placebo group. In the mango group, body weight decreased in some cases by as much as 5%, in addition, obese patients consuming Irving seeds showed a significant decrease in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and an increase in HDL cholesterol. On the other hand, the placebo group showed no changes in blood lipid components. This study concluded that African mango may promote weight loss and control lipid profile. A diet rich in soluble fiber can lower blood sugar levels.

The properties of African mango are related to the content of soluble dietary fiber. This type of fiber dissolves in water and forms gel-like substances that protect the walls of the digestive tract. The physiological action of these fibers should, by definition, be based, among other things, on lowering total and LDL cholesterol levels in the blood, as well as lowering postprandial blood glucose and/or lowering insulin levels.
